ERICA WEINER JEWELRY
Sequin Earrings
(brass)
$30.00
These sequins were made in France in the 1930's and were intended as ornaments for fine textiles. Each was hand-punched out of thin gold-colored sheet metal and polished to a brilliant reflective shine. Over the past century that shine has oxidized to a beautiful darkened patina. Gold-filled posts have been soldered to their backs, and gold-filled backs secure them to your ear. Sequins are irregularly shaped and measure about 1⁄4" in diameter.

Each pair of these studs is attached to an old photo or a piece of antique ephemera.
