ERICA WEINER JEWELRY
Hummingbird Necklace
(bronze)
$75.00
This unbelievably tiny (1 1/8" long!) skull was originally found in a science teacher's supply catalog. The original belonged to a ruby-throated hummingbird, (Archilochus colubris) which are mostly found in eastern and central US, but breeds throughout the central US and Central America. Often found in gardens, it winters in tropical rainforest. Reaching a length of only 3 inches, they are, along with other hummingbirds, the smallest birds in the world. We cast this specimen in bronze and and put each piece on a sturdy antique brass chain. They're spectacularly detailed and true-to-life. Suitable for men and women, this necklace doesn't look as gothic as you'd think - it's delicate, understated, and can be worn all the time, not just for nights out at the BatCave. Total chain length is 22". Spring ring clasp at back.
