This is an asymmetrical double-strand necklace featuring a 3" wide medieval-looking sea monster pendant. Wearing this necklace guarantees the wearer protection from most sea monsters, including giant squid. The detailed creature is suspended from two delicate 9" box chains, and a thicker chain hangs from her tail and swings back up to the back of the wearer's neck. A spring ring attaches the necklace at back, and an antique religious medallion rests in the clavicle, attached about 5" up one side of the thicker chain. The entire necklace is made from brass and copper components, and has been blackened to a dark, rich, gunmetal-colored patina.
