We're sad that the Show World Center in Times Square got shut down along with all the other strip clubs and XXX movie theaters in NYC. We were teenagers when they began to be replaced by chain restaurants and multiplexes. We've created this "tits-and-feathers" necklace in celebration of the gritty, sleazy New York that once was.

We cast an antique "Show World" token in brass and covered it with a dingy, dark patina. The token measures 3/4" in diameter and reads "Show World Center, 8 Ave, N.Y.C., 42 St.". On the reverse side it says "World's Greatest Show Place". Originally, these coins were taken home as souvenirs or inserted into token booths to reveal a few minutes of "the world's greatest show" behind a glass panel.

A green and gold feather dangles from an antique brass safety pin that's been clamped permanently shut. The removable coin hangs from a jumbo-sized brass spring ring and can be removed from the 30" long stainless-steel chain if desired. Brass spring ring secures the chain at back.
