This is a hand-cast reproduction of a cocktail pick from the historic Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City. In the 1930 s until the 50 s, they were used to skewer martini olives at the hotel s bar. Our light-colored brass version has traces of polishing rouge still visible in the indentations, adding to it s well-used, antique look. The double-sided pendant is 2 3/4" long, and the end has been rounded to prevent it from stabbing anyone accidentally. A 15" length of antique faceted brass chain is threaded directly through a small hole in the skewer and closes in the back with a brass spring ring clasp. The necklace hangs high up on the chest, close to the neck.
