Acrostic jewelry first appeared in the early 1800's as a way to convey secret messages through jewelry. Each letter in the alphabet was assigned to a different precious stone, and the so-called "language of gems" emerged. Wear your love's initials, one in each ear, or line up a few studs to spell a word. Note these earrings are sold SINGLY.

Triangle settings measure about 1/8" on each side. Stones are either cabochons or faceted gems measuring 2mm.
