Arts & Crafts Gold & Citrine Bangle

$4,000

Sold!

THIS BRACELET took months of extensive restoration work to stabilize the stone and onlay, but it was worth it. The Arts & Crafts movement is one of my favorite periods of design, in which excess ornament and industrial uniformity was rejected in favor of honest materials and visible workmanship. There was real appreciation for what nature could create with gemstones, so citrine's honey glow was admired (along with humble moonstone, baroque pearls, and matrix turquoise.) The bangle is solid, meant to be worn and lived in rather than pulled out for special occasions. Craftsmanship was the value above all else.
