Danish Modern Blue Opal Cocktail Ring

$2,700

Sold!

Housed in its original box stamped Ole W. Jacobsen, Juvelerer, Lille Kongensgade 45, this Danish Modernist ring was made by Ole Waldemar Jacobsen, who operated his Copenhagen workshop beginning in the early 1950s. The box’s materials and font suggest this piece dates to the 1950s or '60s. Jacobsen was known for bold, sculptural designs in silver and gold, often set with natural stones like agate, turquoise, and opal. This ring features a giant veined blue opal—likely sourced from Peru or Australia—framed in a chunky 14k gold setting that embodies mid-century Scandinavian style: clean lines, organic form, and excellent craftsmanship.
