Early 20th Century Petite Silver & Enamel Lucky Charm Bracelet

$850

Sold!

This Austrian silver and enamel charm bracelet, made around 1930, is a petite parade of good fortune. Each tiny link bears a colorful lucky emblem: the well-known four-leaf clover and horseshoe are here, of course—but so are more curious symbols. In Central European folklore, the pig represents wealth and abundance (think “lucky pig” or “Schwein gehabt”), while the chimneysweep is a bringer of fresh starts, health, and protection—seeing one on New Year’s Day is especially lucky. Other enameled links depict flowers, animals, and symbols of love and travel, each one a miniature talisman.
