Edwardian Enamel & Pearl Lucky Clover Necklace

$1,400

Sold!

Only one in 5,000 - 10,000 clovers has four leaves. If you find one, you're extremely lucky. It's a result of a genetic mutation; if the plant experiences heavy foot traffic or pesticides, it's going to grow an extra leaf. Sort of like the five-legged frogs I used to see living on the banks of the famously toxic Passaic River when I was a kid. Here, we see the beginnings of Deco in the abstract pearl-studded wiggles, and also the height of Edwardian artistry in the hyper-realistic enamel leaves.
