Edwardian Garnet-Eyed Pearl Swallow Earrings

$1,650

Sold!

In the northern hemisphere the migration of the swallow is one of the early signs of spring and signal of the fertile period to come. According to lore, swallows were a welcome sight to voyage-weary sailors who believed the little birds led them into safe harbor. This larger (and nicer) than usual pair of garnet-eyed pearl and gold swallow earrings are a symbol of abundance and homecoming.
