A CHUNKY garnet teardrop is this wild snake's head. There's no face to speak of, but it doesn't matter because all the personality and kinetic energy is channeled into the elaborately engraved scales. They change throughout the length of the serpent's body, sometimes cross-hatched roughly, sometimes daintily engraved with diamond shapes. It truly looks like it's in motion.
18k gold (marked), garnet cabochon
Birmingham hallmarks for 1901
Very good - surface wear commensurate with age and use
7, resizing possible but nor recommended due to the patterned band; 10mm head, 3.5mm shank
