Edwardian Moonstone, Sapphire & Pearl Clover Pendant

$1,500

Sold!

All shamrocks are clovers, but not all clovers are shamrocks. We know the four-leafed variety to be lucky - they're rare genetic mutations. But a normal three-leafed clover is linked to Saint Patrick and the holy trinity; it's also the unofficial symbol of Ireland. The word shamrock itself actually comes from the Irish word ‘Seamrog’ meaning ‘little clover’ or ‘young clover’. This Edwardian clover is modeled in gold with moonstone leaves framed by seed pearls and a single sapphire at the center.
