Edwardian Porte Bonheur Lucky Clover Necklace

"Porte Bonheur" is French. Google translate tells me it means "lucky charm", and that I know to be true, but isn't a more direct translation something like "Carry Happiness"? The lucky shamrock is enameled so sweetly - see the realistic veins on the leaves? It was made just before WW1, not such a lucky time for most people in France.
