Edwardian Steel Horseshoe Box Necklace

$400

Sold!

A little cheapie from the dawn of the 20th century. Lindsay says: "the back panel opens but it's a little tricky, I needed to use a pin. I think it's mostly meant to stay closed because there is a slot (like a mail slot) along the top that has a hinged flap so you can push things (flat things) through into the box." What was it used for? What will YOU use it for?
