Georgian Banded Agate & Garnet Eternity Ring

Banded agate has been used for many centuries as a contrast-y material to make cameos. Carve away one color of material and voila! The other color is revealed below. Perfect for sculpting faces. But the stripy stone is a great decorative stone too. Here, some creative Georgian-era jeweler used banded agate slabs on a ring's band; they're arguably more exciting than the main event: a gold-framed garnet.
