Cupid is the Roman name for the god of love, who in Greek mythology is known as Eros. Psyche is a mortal woman who becomes his wife. Her name, "Psyche," translates to "soul" or "breath" in Greek. Here, butterflies pull Cupid's chariot; they emphasizing themes of transformation, spiritual growth, and the transcendent power of love in the human experience.
