Georgian Garnet Framed Tree of Life Ring

$2,000

Sold!

The most interesting thing about this Georgian ring may not be the exquisite sepia / hairwork painting of a tree of life. It's not the individual nuanced personality of each little flat-cut garnet. The most fascinating fact is that it's from the personal collection of the late Ginny Dawes, the woman who literally WROTE THE BOOK on Georgian Jewelry. This is the tome we recommend to everyone who wants to do a deep dive on English jewelry from the late 18th / early 19th century.
