Georgian Pearl Lyre Necklace
Sold!

The lyre was the most well-known instrument in the ancient Greek world where it was played during recitations of lyric poetry (among other places and times, of course). Makes sense that the Georgians, obsessed with ancient classical culture, worked this theme into their jewelry lexicon. Formerly a brooch, now a necklace, this early 19th century lyre is made in gold and set with pearls.
