Georgian Agate Eye Necklace

$1,400

Sold!

Even though early-19th-century Georgians prided themselves on being rational, moral, and above superstition, this piece feels uncannily like an evil eye pendant. The stone’s concentric circles mimics the ancient symbol worn to deflect envy and harm. Whether by accident or design, its swirling center gives the pendant a protective, talismanic quality. Superstition had a way of surviving even the Age of Reason.
