Georgian William Lamb Mourning Ring

$1,800

Sold!

In the year 1790, George Washington delivered the first State of the Union Address in New York City. It was a relatively quick journey from the temporary capital city, Philadelphia - he and Martha had just moved into the President's House there. Benjamin Franklin died that year, and so did William Lamb, who was 46 years old. As you would expect, the enamel on his memorial ring is quite chipped and worn, which actually makes the piece much more wearable. And affordable.
