Late 19th Century Seed Pearl Heart Locket

$2,000

Sold!

IN THE 19TH century, Queen Victoria loved sentimental symbols, and for jewelry, the heart shape fit that bill perfectly. She had numerous heart-shaped jewels including a charm bracelet with enameled heart lockets, each containing the hair of one of her children. The rest of England (of course) did what Queen V did; this pearl-studded locket comes from that wave of heart jewelry popularity.
