Emeralds had a resurgence in popularity during the early 19th century, as increasing trade from Colombia brought exceptional stones to European jewelers. Prized for their vivid green color and rarity, emeralds were among the most luxurious gems of the Georgian era. Here, they're surrounded by gorgeous old mine cut diamonds: a classic cluster ring.

    18k gold (tests), silver, 6mm square faceted emerald, 14 approximately 2.5mm old mine cut diamonds

    Very good - a few small pits to the emerald visible under magnification; score mark on the back side of the shank

    7, can be resized; 12.3mm head, 1.7mm shank
