In the late Victorian era, when this 15k gold compass fob was made, the anchor was frequently employed as a symbol of hope. This finely rendered token of optimism features a miniature working compass in place of a shank. The glass-cased compass is detailed with beautifully hand-painted directions on both sides. Hangs on a new 18" 14k yellow gold chain.
