Late Victorian Mouse & Cheese Locket

$1,400

Sold!

Someone was very pleased with themselves when they invented this very realistic-looking mouse trapped under glass. They added their design registration number to the piece, which we traced back to 1886. The (probably steel) mouse is very hard to photograph, but he's calmly eating a piece of cheese, unbothered.
