Late Victorian Trompe l'Oeil Comet Brooch

$950

Sold!

A shooting star, by the 1890s, symbolized luck, fate, and a moment of divine alignment, just like it does today. In the Victorian era, celestial motifs were everywhere, reflecting the era's obsession with astronomy, mysticism, and the unknown. A falling star might have represented a wish granted or a soul passing. This brooch captures that magic in buttery 18k gold and an old European cut diamond.
