Mid Victorian Enamel & Diamond Cross Mourning Ring

Edward died only weeks after the American Civil War came to an end. A modest (but diamond-studded!) cross decorates a glossy black band. The engraving: Edwd Chas Charleton died April 29th 1865.

    18k gold (tests), black enamel, 6 old mine cut diamonds (1.6mm - 2mm)

    Very good - looks like the enamel may have been repaired in a few places (but expertly so)
