Silver-plated 'Regard' sweetheart locket (c. 1880) is 1 3/4" x 1 3/8". Interior has one brass frame left. The engraving is fun and carefully done in a diagonal italic. I bought the locket with this paste-studded removable bail, but it almost certainly wasn't originally attached. But while we're at it, why not keep Frankenstein-ing? I hung it on a s Scottish Victorian sterling silver & carved agate barrel necklace (c. 1860, unmarked but tested sterling). This has been collaged partially with 6 links from an agate watch chain and a length of Victorian silver foxtail chain (I didn't do it, bought it like this). A quadruple Frankenstein! See, STILL GOT IT. Total chain length is 16", clasp is contemporary. On agates, there are a few chips and one section appears to have been reattached at some point.
