An Indian 1/4 Rupee Coin from 1889 has been connected - in India, I imagine - to a hand-carved metal decorative mounting. At the time, Queen Victoria had been named "Empress of India" and it says so on the front of the coin right around her visage. Coins at that time were nearly pure silver.
