Victorian Aquamarine & Sapphire Festoon Necklace

$5,400

Sold!

This festoon necklace is built with a series of swagging chains suspended between gemstone stations, with pear-shaped aquamarine drops hanging below like little pendants. The alternating blue sapphires and pale aquamarines give it that watery color combination Victorians were very good at. It’s called a festoon because the design imitates a festoon, aka garland—a decorative looped arrangement of ribbons or flowers. The look is soft, airy, and draped.
