Victorian Bird Taking Flight Diamond & Garnet Necklace

$1,950

Sold!

This feisty bird is set with 35 old cut diamonds and has a single small garnet for its eye. She's mid-flight - a Victorian emblem of beginnings, momentum, or an ambitious leap forward. The outline of her spread wings recalls a lyre, a Neoclassical motif tied to the arts, which was almost certainly intentional.
