In the year 1867 the US purchased Alaska from Russia. Alfred Nobel patented dynamite. African-American men are granted the right to vote in the District of Columbia. America's first dental school is established in Boston. And this coral and diamond pendant was made; the British registration mark tells us more specifically that it was July 10, 1867.

    14k gold (tests), 11 calibré cut coral cabochons, 7 1.5mm rose cut diamonds, new 14k gold chain

    c. 1870

  • Condition

    Very good - was likely converted from a brooch into a pendant

  • Size

    1 1/4" length including the bale, 7/8" width, 18" chain
