Victorian Diamond Starburst Locket

$1,950

That scratchy abstract background texture appears on lots of American jewelry from the Civil War period, so my hunch is that this locket was made in the turbulent USA around 1870. The woman who appears in the tintype inside looks like world-weary but wears some fantastic jewelry of her own. The center diamond is hypnotic.
