Victorian Diamond Wishbone Necklace

The ancient Etruscans believed birds - particularly chickens - were oracles that could predict the future. They practiced a form of divination called "ornithomancy," which involved interpreting the behavior and flight patterns of birds. Our modern belief in the wishbone's luck-bringing power is rooted in these ancient superstitions.
