Victorian Five Stone Turquoise Ring

$1,675

Sold!

Queen Victoria was a great fan of turquoise. She reportedly gave each of her ladies-in-waiting a portrait ring framed with turquoise cabochons. Victorians were always eager to emulate the queen, so wearing gold with turquoise was considered almost a sartorial necessity during the era. This Victorian band is made in 18k yellow gold and set with five sky blue turquoise cabochons. The inside of the band is hallmarked for London - we estimate around 1880 - although the date letter has been sized out.
