Victorian Fuchsia Drop Earrings

$2,200

Sold!

Victorians loved fuchsia flowers, with their long pointed sepals and drooping blossoms. Their theatrical shape and over-the-top colors made them ubiquitous in gardens, botanical illustration, textiles, and jewelry. In Victorian floriography, the fuchsia was associated with "confiding love". Delicate gold leaves cascade down winding stems on these earrings.
