Victorian Garnet Acorn Locket

$1,200

Sold!

IN VICTORIAN JEWELRY, the acorn symbolized potential, endurance, and strength: the promise of the mighty oak contained within something small. Acorns were such popular motifs in Victorian jewelry that even this pared-down interpretation is unmistakable: a blood-red garnet oval topped with a cascade of oak leaves. A glass locket is hidden at the back.
