Victorian Ivy & Primrose Locket Bangle

$950

Sold!

Stamped with a British registry mark dated 16 November 1882 and a Birmingham assay mark for 1884, this sterling silver bangle carries the hand-engraved inscription "Elizabeth Harrison 1886". The front panel is engraved with ivy and primrose motifs, both rich in Victorian symbolism. Ivy represented fidelity and eternal connection, while the primrose symbolized youth. I bet this locket bracelet marked a coming-of-age milestone for Elizabeth.
