Victorian Pique & Mother of Pearl Earrings

$2,200

Sold!

Tortoiseshell is a gorgeously complex material that 19th-century jewelers got really creative with. Most Victorian piqué work relies on repetitive gold inlay, but these earrings are different: vibrant mother-of-pearl inlay creates flashes of color and light that shift with movement, creating a prismatic effect. They feel exuberant and inventive, showing how piqué makers experimented with color and texture.
