Victorian “Puff” Locket

Private nicknames like "PUFF" are so very intimate. Was this a beloved pet or a term of endearment between loved ones? Lindsay and I, for some long-forgotten reason, call each other "FIFI". This locket isn't solid gold, but who cares? It's so sweet to remember that 150 years ago (and 1500, and probably 15,000...) people whispered pet names to each other.
