Victorian Specimen Agate Pendant

$1,250

Sold!

During the Victorian era, patterned agates were considered works of art. Rather than carving or engraving the stone, lapidaries selected specimens whose striking swirls, stripes and concentric circles would move the wearer to consider the awesome power of nature. This polished oval agate has dramatic cream, caramel, charcoal, and soft gray patterning.
