WWI Era Heraldic Lion & Shield Trench Art Ring

$495

Sold!

During WW1, Soldiers often crafted "trench art" in quiet moments using whatever materials they could find: aircraft parts, mess kits, shell casings. This ring is an example of that resourceful creativity: a heraldic lion and shield made from brass (part of a uniform button?), set into an aluminum band. Wartime ingenuity is vividly present here.
